What is the AI hiring recommendation and what do the categories mean?

After the AI video interview, every candidate receives a hiring recommendation in addition to their numerical scores. There are four categories:

  • HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: The candidate performed strongly across all assessed dimensions and is a top match for the role
  • RECOMMENDED: The candidate performed well and meets the requirements — worth advancing
  • MAYBE: The candidate showed some strengths but also gaps — worth reviewing with the scorecard before deciding
  • NOT RECOMMENDED: The candidate did not demonstrate the required level of competency for the role

These recommendations are generated by the AI based on the combined interview assessment and are designed to help hiring managers prioritise quickly — especially useful when reviewing a large shortlist.
