What happens if the AI cannot reach a candidate by phone?

If the AI Calling Agent cannot connect with a candidate — because the call is not answered, goes to voicemail, or fails — the system automatically sends a screening email form as a fallback.

The email form asks the same key screening questions (interest level, availability, salary expectations, relevant experience) and gives the candidate a window to respond at their convenience (default: 24 hours, configurable per role).

This means no candidate is lost due to a failed call. Candidates who complete the email form are scored and advanced in exactly the same way as those who completed a phone call. The email form response is attached to their profile alongside any call attempt logs.
