How does HiringPartner's resume screening work?

When you upload resumes or import candidates from an ATS, HiringPartner's AI parses every document to extract structured data: work history, skills, education, certifications, and years of experience.

Each candidate is then scored (0–100) against the job criteria you configured — factoring in must-have skills, experience thresholds, role-specific context, and seniority level. Candidates are ranked from strongest to weakest match.

Candidates who meet the configured threshold (default: 40/100, adjustable per role) are marked as COMPLETED and progress to Phase 2. Those below the threshold are marked as REJECTED and do not advance. You can review rejected candidates at any time from the dashboard.
