How does HiringPartner decide how to rank candidates?

Candidate ranking is based on how closely each resume matches the job criteria you configured. The AI considers:

  • Must-have skills: candidates who meet every must-have are ranked above those who don't
  • Nice-to-have skills: candidates with more nice-to-haves rank higher among those who pass the must-have filter
  • Years of relevant experience: weighted against your seniority requirement
  • Job description alignment: the AI reads context, not just keywords — a candidate's actual experience is matched against the role, not just matching terms
  • Education and certifications: considered where specified in your job brief

Each candidate receives a resume score (0–100). Scores and ranking are visible in the dashboard immediately after processing.
